Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and mama to two awesome little kids. I became interested in health and nutrition after experiencing the side effects of a stressful career and lifestyle filled with processed foods.

What is the mission of Nutritionally Balanced?

Nutritionally Balanced is a space for parents to learn and feel supported in the forever confusing adventure of feeding themselves and their kids well! I hope to take the stress and anxiety out of nourishing your family and make information accessible and relatable

Tell us about the types of workshops you host.

I host a range of workshops starting from First Foods to Picky Eaters. I help parents learn about feeding babies nutrient dense foods and focus on teaching parents about realistic and age appropriate expectations for kids when it comes to eating as well as how to incorporate new foods into their children’s diets successfully. I also have a new workshop coming soon specifically for moms to help with post natal weight loss. I think it is really important to address more than just food itself, we talk about the emotional and social implications of eating in every workshop as well.

What do you love about working with mothers and children?

After becoming a mother myself, I began to see how overwhelming it could be to navigate through all the information out there. You want to do what is best for your children but it is often too much information to handle. I love being able to help moms and kids develop healthy relationships with food from a young age. Being invited into a mother’s world to support her family is such an honor.

What inspires you?

My kiddos! Although I have been a nutritionist for many years, having kids changed my focus completely. I became so passionate about helping other mothers. Every time I receive an email from a client telling me about the positive changes that have happened as a result of our work together I feel amazing. I am so grateful to be able to in a position to provide people with knowledge and realistic suggestions to improve their lives. It does not get much better than that!

The Baby’s First Foods workshop is happening on Aug 11th at 7:00pm – 8:00pm. Tickets are $25/person. Sign up here!
